Cox will retain the “Power” brand as a jockless, commercial-free online stream at PowerOrlando.com (http://PowerOrlando.com) as well as on 94.5 WCFB-HD2. As the FCC has yet to formally approve the sale to SBS, it is unknown at this time whether an LMA will take effect immediately on Friday, April 1 or whether Cox will run filler programming until the sale closes.
The flip will leave iHeartMedia’s market leading “XL 106.7 (https://xl1067.iheart.com)” WXXL as the only CHR in Orlando. WXXL led the Orlando market with a 7.9 share in the February 2022 Nielsen Audio (https://radioinsight.com/ratings/orlando/) ratings, while WPYO was twelfth with a 3.1 share.
