Daniels previously worked on-air in Indianapolis at CHR 99.5 WZPL. Prior to joining WFGR in December 2020, previously has served as Operations Manager for Adams Radio Group Tallahassee FL, and served as a PD and television producer and host in South Bend IN.
Daniels fills the slot that had been held by Miriam ‘Mock’ Weaver until January. Weaver had been with WIBC since 2013 but refused to accept (https://www.ibj.com/articles/chicks-on-the-right-co-founder-will-exit-wibc-cites-vaccination-mandates-among-reasons) Emmis’ COVID-19 vaccination requirement.
Casey Daniels, most recently program director of Grand Rapids’ classic hits WFGR, has been named late morning show co-host of Indianapolis’ WIBC 93.1 FM.
Daniels, who joins Rob Kendall on the Kendall and Casey Show, is returning to Indianapolis. Prior to her current position in Grand Rapids, she spent six years hosting and producing a daytime talk show for WSBT-TV in South Bend. She has been a talent, PD and even a station manager, and worked weekends at Indianapolis’ WZPL.
“I’m so thrilled to be back home again in Indiana at legendary 93 WIBC,” Daniels said. “I want to thank Taja Graham, David Wood, Matt Hibbeln and Rob Kendall. I’m grateful for this amazing opportunity and what’s next. I’ll see you on the circle!”
David Wood, vice president of programming for Emmis-Indianapolis, commented, “Casey is a storyteller with great curiosity and creativity. Pairing her with Rob Kendall and his deep knowledge of how local and state government works (or doesn’t work) will create a very entertaining and informative show.”
The Kendall and Casey Show will begin on April 4 and will air weekdays from 9a-12p.
