iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk KOA-A-K231BQ-K231AA/DENVER is marking the 20th anniversary of the COLUMBINE school shootings with a special one-hour program. "COLUMBINE 20 YEARS LATER: THE HEALING CONTINUES” will be hosted by Managing Editor JERRY BELL and News Director KATHY WALKER and will air SATURDAY (4/20), the anniversary date, at noon (MT) and SUNDAY (4/21) at 10a.
The station's "The Never Forgotten Fund" collects donations to provide twelve $5,000 scholarships per year in honor and memory of the 13 victims.
“It’s a privilege for us to share the stories of those whose lives changed forever on that fateful day,” said iHEARTMEDIA President TIM HAGER. “Twenty years later, the Never Forgotten Fund -- which was established by KOA NewsRadio to honor the memory of the victims -- has awarded more than one-million dollars in scholarships for worthy students.”
