SGMK Communications has flipped Classic Hip-Hop/Pot Talk “Blazin 98.5” 1040 KCBR/98.5 K253AH Colorado Springs to a mix of Comedy and Classic Hits as “Hits & Giggles 98.5/95.7“. The station is utilizing the stand-up comedy “Today’s Comedy” network interspersed with pop music mostly from the 1990s. The flip coincides with the upcoming launch of KCBR’s new translator 95.7 K239CH Colorado Springs to cover the south side of Colorado Springs.

Is the format flip scheduled for a later date or did something else happen? The station was still playing classic hip-hop and identifying as "Blazin" when I tuned in a few times this week. (Also, for the owners, PLEASE hire an audio engineer!)
