Entercom/Denver has extended the contract of KEZW Cruisin' 1430 Program Director and Morning Man Rick Crandall through 2020. Crandall has been a staple of Denver's broadcast community since he joined the KEZW team in 1991. "Rick is one of the best broadcasters in the business with an undeniable passion community, said VP-Programming Entercom/Denver Mike Peterson. "We're lucky to have him!"
Crandall is the recipient numerous awards including the National Association of Broadcasters Marconi Award for Adult Standards Station of the Year, and the Colorado Broadcasters Association Harry Hoth Award for Public Service. In 2012, The Colorado Broadcast Association acknowledged Rick with the highly esteemed, "Rex Howell Award for Broadcaster of the Year" for his commitment to the industry and accomplishments in the community.
Throughout his broadcast career, Rick, a veteran himself, has actively supported Colorado veterans. KEZW proudly sponsors several annual events including Valentines for Veterans, Operation Christmas Joy, Veteran's Fair, and Veteran's Day Salute. One of Rick's biggest achievements both as a veteran and a radio personality, was raising the $2 million needed to begin construction of the Colorado Freedom Memorial, a site commemorating the nearly 6,000 Colorado soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
