For the past seven weeks, BONNEVILLE INTERNATIONAL CORP. AC KOSI (101.1)/DENVER and ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN have been collecting brand new teddy bears all over the DENVER metro area, through KOSI’s first annual “Teddy Bear Patrol.”

Over 3,500 new teddy bears were donated by KOSI listeners to this effort, and this past SATURDAY, AUGUST 26th, these bears found a new purpose! KOSI air personalities SEAN HENRY, DENISE PLANTE, JACKIE SELBY and MURPHY HUSTON helped hand out the new bears to DENVER area first responders at a special “Teddy Bear Patrol Community Party” at ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN. They were distributed to the DENVER Police and Fire Departments and DENVER area EMS organizations, to comfort children involved in crisis situations.

“Sometimes a small act of kindness can have a big impact,” said KOSI PD ANDY HOLT. “When a child has been through a traumatic experience - a kind word, a holding hand, and a teddy bear can really make a difference. We’re so grateful to THE MILE HIGH CITY’s amazing first responders – who provide caring, aid, and life-saving skills every day. And, we thank our KOSI listeners for their heartfelt generosity.”
