ENTERCOM Adult Standards KEZW/DENVER will hold the 11th Annual "Valentines for Veterans" project during NATIONAL HOSPITALIZED VETERANS WEEK, FEBRUARY 10th-16th. Inspired by the legendary advice columnist ANN LANDERS, "Valentines for Veterans" is an open invitation for community members to send a VALENTINE’S DAY message to COLORADO’s veterans who are ill and receiving care at the VA Hospital and State Veterans Nursing Home.
Last year, KEZW collected over 14,000 valentines from schools, churches, businesses and STUDIO1430’s listening audience; veterans at DENVER’s VA Hospital and State Veterans Nursing Home received two valentines with every meal on VALENTINE’S DAY. Valentines were also delivered north to FORT COLLINS and CHEYENNE, WY and south to COLORADO SPRINGS.
"In many cases, your valentine card will be the only greeting these veterans receive while they are hospitalized," KEZW PD/morning host RICK CRANDALL said. "These greetings mean a great deal. Thanks for your support!"
